Action: national report on discrimination on the basis of age (under 30) and multiple factors (eg. age and racial-ethnic origin) in Italy and good practices from public institutions to combat this type of discrimination
Challenge: to recognize and isolate discrimination on the basis of age and other factors (race, disability, sexual orientation) and to assess the social impact of publicly led programmes and projects on the target group (young people from 17 to 30 years) with specific regard to the different types of multiple discrimination
Inclusive social impact detected: improved sense of citizenship and belonging to the local/national community among the target groups (young people with multiple discrimination profiles), improved self-confidence and positive view of one’s future among youth, improved capacities of the public institutions to understand and respond adequately to the needs of this target
Methodology: qualitative research with video - interviews to civil servants and young participants
