Which social impact?
Our focus is on non-monetary aspects of social impact, by applying a comprehensive vision of well-being that addresses the social, environmental, economic and subjective aspects going beyond the income.
We are the first organisation that theorises and adopts a new approach to social impact, defined as “inclusive social impact assessment”.
The focus is on the differential impact that can be produced on specific target groups on the basis of personal characteristics like gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality and ethnicity.
Which assessment method?
Our unique INclusive Social Impact assEssment MEthod (IN.S.I.E.ME) uses a quanti-qualitative assessment methodology that combines the Theory-Based Evaluation with the Practical Participatory Evaluation (P-PE) methodology, focusing on citizens science use and stakeholders’ involvement in the evaluation process.
Our assessment plans make use of:
- ex-ante, ongoing and ex-post evaluations
- control groups to compare differences over time and between intervention and non intervention populations
- involvement of the target groups in the design of the Theories of Change to identify Gender & Diversity Expected Changes and Indicators
By applying a Mixed Methodology Research, we propose the strategic and cross-use of qualitative and quantitative research tools such as:
surveys
mobile experience sampling (MES)
focus groups, guided group discussions and participant observations
storytelling and data storytelling
